Where to get the Best Breakfast in Lubbock

You know what they say: breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you’re looking for a spot to fuel up for a day of exploring all Lubbock has to offer, we have plenty of options. From light bites to Texas-sized plates, from savory to sweet – or both – these spots will have you jumping out of bed and to the table.

Cast Iron Grill

This spot is always packed. The Cast Iron Grill offers classic, hearty options to start your day off right. From the Cast Iron Omelet to the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, or, of course, Biscuits with country gravy, you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. And you can’t forget to grab a piece of pie while you’re at the Cast Iron Grill, no matter how early you go!

Pancake House

Pancake House is a longtime favorite in the Hub City. The restaurant has had a few renovations since it opened in the 1960s, but it’s been serving up the same great menu over the years. While they have other tasty things on the menu, you must try pancakes at the Pancake House. Whether you want a traditional stack, like buttermilk or chocolate chip, or something different, like sweet potato or red velvet, you’re sure to have a sweet time.

JIMENEZ Y FRIENDS

If you’re looking to try some of the best tacos and barbecue in the state, look no further than Jimenez y Friends.

You can build your own taco or burrito with whatever you like, but their specialty tacos are incredible; you might as well get one of each! Breakfast is served until 11:00 a.m., but their lunch menu is served all day.

FARMHOUSE

Farmhouse has something for everyone. They have some classic options, but Farmhouse also offers some unique items. If you want to get a taste of something new, try their Farmhouse Hash with pulled pork, eggs and BBQ sauce, or their Breakfast Loaded Fries, which includes all the best parts of the meal over a bed of french fries. What could be better than that?

Tacos

Rain Café

Don’t let the name fool you; this spot will give your day a sunny start. Rain Café is a popular local spot, especially on Sunday mornings. They offer a little bit of everything, but their Crusted French Toast is a must-try. While Rain Café is known to have great food, many guests say the service is top-notch, too.

STACKED

As the name suggests, the menu at this place is stacked with some delicious options. The Brisket Burrito and Breakfast Sandwich are some of our favorites, but really, we haven’t had anything we didn’t like from Stacked. Whether you want something light, something hearty or a bite somewhere in between, this spot has you covered.

If you want to start your day a little later with brunch instead of breakfast, we’ve got some suggestions for that, too..
