Sip, Savor, Repeat: Cactus Alley Food Scene
Cactus Alley has probably caught your eye while you were driving down the Marsha Sharp Freeway. You may have even felt inspired to take a detour to see what’s behind the prairie dog mural! But if you haven’t had a chance to explore, here’s a guide to the places inside.
Short & Sweets Bakery
This sure is a sweet place to stop into at Cactus Alley. Short and Sweets went from a hobby to a storefront six years ago. They offer a wide range of treats, from decorated cakes and cookies to macarons in several unique flavors. Short and Sweets can whip up some custom goodies for your next event, or you can stop in and get something to satisfy that sweet tooth.
Gold Stripe Coffee Roasters
If you need to wash that sweet treat down, you should step inside Gold Stripe Coffee. They have a variety of teas and baked goods on the menu, and of course, coffee. But Gold Stripe is passionate about the product, even roasting the beans they use in-house. It’s a difference you can taste, so it’s definitely worth stopping in to enjoy a good cup of joe and cozy, inviting atmosphere in the courtyard.
La Sirena
If you’re a foodie, you’ve got to try La Sirena in Cactus Alley. It’s the perfect place for a date night or girls’ night. This is a delicious Latin-inspired farm-to-table spot with a rotating seasonal menu. La Sirena also has an extensive mezcal, tequila, and wine lists, along with some other cocktail and mocktail options. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but it’s a popular place to be, so you’ll probably want to make a reservation for your next night on the town.
Llano Estacado Wine Bar
Calling all wine lovers! The Llano Estacado Winery Tasting Room is the newest addition to Cactus Alley. In this boutique-style tasting room, guests can try award-winning wines, curated wine flights and shop exclusive releases. This charming spot offers a welcoming, intimate space to connect with delicious wine, your loved ones and the Hub City. The Llano Estacado Tasting Room is sure to be a must-stop when you're here in town!
These are just a few sights to see in the Cactus Alley Courtyard. Visitors are sure to find a lot of hidden gems here in this peaceful, charming spot in the Hub City. Whether you're looking for somewhere to spend the day or just for a coffee and a picture with the prairie dog mural, make sure Cactus Alley is on your itinerary!
