Come Visit Santa Land
‘Tis the season for Santa Land in Lubbock, Texas! With the holidays upon us, each year the City of Lubbock transforms Mackenzie Park into a beautiful winter wonderland full of illuminated displays and activities for the entire family.
Admission into Santa Land is FREE, and the park is open every evening from December 10-23 from 6 to 10 p.m. Santa’s elves approximate that 46,000 people visit Santa Land each year to see the festive holiday village, the humongous lighted tree, animated displays, a warm bonfire and, of course, the chance to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. Visitors can locate Santa Land by following the jingle bells to the east Broadway entrance into Mackenzie Park just east of Avenue A and the South Plains Fairgrounds. If all else fails, just look for the 60-foot tree. You can’t miss it!
Oh, and don’t forget to dress warm and bring your camera to take a picture with Santa and Mrs.Claus at no extra charge. If you forget, that’s okay. You can purchase a keepsake dgital picture for only $5.
