Visit the Panhandle South Plains Fair in Lubbock
The Panhandle South Plains Fair is upon us, and we are counting down the minutes until it is finally here for nine days o’ fun. Running from September 22 to the 30, The Panhandle South Plains Fair is one of our favorite annual events.
The fair has been around since 1914 and has only taken a break during World War II. Since then, over 11 million people have come to our fair.
At the fair you can expect to see animal competitions, commercial vendors, entertainment, petting zoo, carnival rides, and our personal favorites, the turkey legs, funnel cakes, corn dogs and cheese-on-a-stick!
You’ll get dizzy trying the many exhilarating rides. You’ll also want to be sure to win a prize for that special someone at many of the colorful booths filled with carnival games. The fun doesn’t stop there. Throughout the duration of the fair, visitors will be able to see a variety of live musical acts ranging from hip-hop, country, rock ‘n’ roll and more. Check out the list of musical guests.
One of Lubbock’s longest traditions is here to stay. If you have been before, you know what we’re talking about. If you haven’t, you don’t have to wait much longer. We’ll see you there on September 19.
