Have a Happy Valentine’s Day in the “Hub City!”

There are two types of people in the world: those who love everything about Valentine’s Day and all its chocolate-coated, rose-clad merriment, and those who would never dream of participating in such a so-called “Hallmark holiday.” No matter which camp you fall into, I’d be willing to bet that you’re pretty great at showing those you love, just how much you love them year-round, but since there is nothing wrong with any scenario that involves good food and great experience, we’ve rounded up a few potential Valentine’s date night ideas. (Roses not included).

Indulge at the Overton
The Overton Hotel & Conference Center is the first and only AAA Four-Diamond hotel in the region and brims with luxury and Southern charm. This Valentine’s they’re offering a special four-course Valentine’s menu from February 12 – 14, from 5 – 10 p.m. You also have the option to include wine pairings. To reserve your table, call 806.776.7010.

Find Love at The Funky Door
You don’t have to be fluent in French to celebrate the love languages at The Funky Door this Valentine’s Day. Their food and wine pairings will be completely inspired by “The Romance Languages” – French, Italian and Portuguese because, after all, good food crosses all language barriers. Reserve your package by calling 806.687.0505.

From February 12-14, they’ll be offering an “inspired menu created with love that includes wine, dinner and dessert,” aptly named Buon San Valentino. To make plans, call 806.798.5900.
